Well the Body of Christ should not fear or be troubled by the dwindling economy of nations or the worries of this world. We should keep looking up to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. We must also be positive and keep our look on God for his intervention on our behalf . Many expected 2015 to be a year full of troubles (what with the general elections happening that year). But true to God's word and his anointed prophets, God vindicated all of us who spoke positively and saw positively. God is still God.
2016 will be ten times better than 2015 as we will move from glory to glory. As Christians, ours can never be from grace to grass but from glory to glory. Christians move forward especially when we trust God and obey him. God provides for his own. When the children of Israel came under Pharoah's torture, God still protected and provided for them. The plagues fell on all the land of Egypt but could not touch Goshen where the Israelites were. What you get in 2016 will depend on you and your attitude and convictions. If you look carefully, you will see that the Church moves forward and make greater gains at the times of famine and crises than she does when all things were well. When conditions are critical, God becomes wonderful and make things happen for the believer. Think on this for a while. It is in the times of economic and political uncertainties and frights, that Nigerian Churches especially Pentecostals have grown tremendously. So Christians should trust God. Christians must not panic but look up to God and expect divine interventions. We must remember God is still with us. To enable this happening, Christians must not live in Sin but live in righteousness. Remember, it is the righteous that the Bible says will flourish like a Palm tree or the Ceder tree. As the Ceders of Babylon (Psalm 92).
Righteousness and Holiness are the two major factors that will distinguish us from worldliness. The Church should not carry the world into the Church, but take the gospel to our world. We must defend and uphold the boundaries so that God can continue to bless us wonderfully and help us. As far as I am concerned, the righteous will be provided for by God, no matter what. So abide in righteousness, keep looking up to Jesus and being holy, and you will triumph in 2016.
